Their burgers and fish sandwich are my favorite! I also hear from friends that their Trashcans are delicious (giant long islands). It's a bummer that they aren't open on Sundays, and the restaurant is a little bit small so expect a wait if it's close to dinner time. Great environment, love the medieval decor.

Had a Classic Rueben on rye with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut. Fabulous sandwich and amazing large serving of onion rings that were also very tasty. Service was very friendly and fast!

While in Grand Blanc, my sister and I returned to an old favorite the Crossbow Inn. It is a not a large place. When we lived here it was one our favorites. We went for an early dinner.. I had the French dip and my sister had stuffed shrimp. The service as usual was right on. After only a short wait our food arrived. It was very good and as usual with their size of portions, I took half with us. A place to try if you are in Grand Blanc.

I have eaten there several times until 3 months ago...I ordered a steak and my wife had a burger. The meat was rancid smelling...it was horrible. I called back two days later to visit with a manager. After a few minutes, into our conversation, she began to argue and get confrontational. She promised to call back, but never did. Now that I have had a chance to visit with the locals, I have heard over a dozen stories that were very similar to mine. Do NOT eat here. Rude, Rude, Rude. Food is way below average on a good day.

Didn't like it at all. Had the monte cristo and it was very very soggy and lacked any real flavor. The preserves came in a generic peel top plastic container. Very expensive for what it was. While we were there 2 different tables sent food back. I would not return. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Very noisy, waitresses are hard to find when you need them. Salads are okay, food is just about average. Portions are large on some items. Parking could be better. The decor needs to be updated, it's been the same for at least 20 years.

Good food with huge portions. It's a little cramped in there and the staff is so-so on friendliness. Overall I like it a lot and go back from time to time.

Been here about 4 times and this by far was the worst visit yet. Ordered fillet and lobster tail and lobster was way over cooked and dry, fillet was ok. Ordered med well and was pretty well done. My wife had prime rib ordered medium and came rare, she hates to send food back, but had no choice. The place is nice and the staff great, just think the cooks were a bit off.

Such a great restaurant! The only problem is that you'll find a favorite item on the menu and never try anything different because it's just that good (I can't not order the monte cristo every time). The wait staff have all been there forever and are astoundingly efficient and friendly. I even love the fact that the walls are so thick that there is no cell reception and you won't be bothered by loud people on their phones. This is my go-to cozy restaurant when I have visitors in from out of town.

We have been regulars here for 20 + years. We often meet friends here in the late afternoon. Happy hour drink prices are great. Lunch and dinner menus are typical "bar" type foods. This place;however, does a superb job of preparing bar foods.Salads are immense. The staff if many cases have been here for ever.

Went there once on a whim. The facility was pretty cold and the beer selection was sub-par at best. My wife ordered escargot and she LOVED it!! I ordered a London Broil which was the first I had ever had and I thought it was pretty good. I really don't have any complaints outside of the beer selection but maybe it's improved since I've been there. Great selections if you want a nice cut of meat!

This place is great. Has huge food portions at very reasonable prices. The place is small so you need to arrive pretty early to escape a wait, but the wait is always worth it. You can select anything on the menu and I do not think you will be disappointed. The Prime Rib is always great, (huge) and so is the perch. Sandwiches are enough for 2 people. The Taco salad? - it would feed 4 people. Good home town place - a true hidden gem.

Lunch at the Crossbow Inn is a very relaxing experience. The staff was very polite and accommodating. It has a very 1980s feel to it. They sport a pretty decent clam chowder which I started out with. I was told they were known more for their burgers but I opted for a Reuben. The sandwiches are pretty hearty and not over priced. I think my girlfriend and I both got soup, soft drinks, and a sandwich and the bill was around $25. Crossbow is a good change of pace spot if you are looking to relax and pass on the typical chain restaurant.

First visit and was very impressed with service and food. Will make it a destination when in town. Great pricing and the food was excellent. Very attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Continuing in the vein of trying restaurants-in-our-backyard-that-we've-never-been-too-before brought us to the Crossbow Inn last week. To be honest, were there not a ban on smoking in restaurants in Michigan, I doubt I would have ever come here, it looks to be the type of place, at least from the outside, where the air quality would've come with a warning sticker from the Surgeon General back in the day. But after reading the reviews here I packed up the bride and headed here for dinner after our movie was sold out. Am glad I did. The reviews are accurate: The service is great, the staff friendly, the food plentiful and it was nice to find some locally cooked fare a bit different than the chain restaurants in town. Had a cup of the beef barley and a steak sub with a side salad and was STUFFED (and happy). The bride had the fish and chips, which although advertised as lightly battered came with a deep fried crust that you could peel off and stand on its own. She said the fish inside was good, but the over-breading kind of turned her off. We both enjoyed the old style 'bread basket' and the cozy atmosphere. I'll be back and probably bring the boy next time. No regrets.

I ate here once and the food was so bad I will not ever go back and I live 5 minutes away.

Awesome sandwiches, you shouldn't leave hungry if you eat here! Priced affordably to.

I like coming here for lunch. The Jr. Club is my favorite. The service is friendly, prompt, and they pour a nice drink.

I eat here every time I come to Michigan. Their burgers are huge and tasty. The service is also always good. No complaints. I'll continue to come here the next time I'm in town.

For bar food this place deserves 5 stars. They know their stuff. My dad is a regular there so on our trip to Michigan we dined with him at lunch. I ordered the fish n chips - well done (get that batter nice n crispy). It was great (so was the cole slaw). My husband had the reuben sandwich. It was huge and he enjoyed it. The service was friendly. The decor was charming. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the mood for tasty bar food. I only tried the lunch menu so I can't speak of the dinner menu (steaks n such).
